Alt didn't say anything about a 6800Ultra just 2x6800... I dunno Alt were you talking about Ultras?

Either way, The new 7950 will blow a 6800Ultra AWAY! And we're not talking about an advanced setup here with phase changers and the likes. Just a standard setup. Its just the price for the 6800s which ever he wants.

Side note: If you already have the 6800s then rock out.

Its just buying 2 gpus, a sli ready mobo ( if not owned ) and a good sli psu would be a lot more than buying lets say a 7950 or a X1900XTX.

For that price though you could get a 8800GT which will be available soon and cost from 450-500 and be DX10 ready core 1.5ghz and enable HDR+AA. Something Nvidia has been behind ATI in.

Also COM check out the new 8800s. The GTX which will be above 600$ comes with LIQUID cooling on the HSF.

Here's a quick break down for those interested.
* Unified Shader Architecture
* Support FP16 HDR+MSAA
* Support GDDR4 memories
* Close to 700M transistors (G71 - 278M / G70 - 302M)
* New AA mode : VCAA
* Core clock scalable up to 1.5GHz
* Shader Peformance : 2x Pixel / 12x Vertex over G71
* 8 TCPs & 128 stream processors
* Much more efficient than traditional architecture
* 384-bit memory interface (256-bit+128-bit)
* 768MB memory size (512MB+256MB)
* Two models at launch : GeForce 8800GTX and GeForce 8800GT
* GeForce 8800GTX : 7 TCPs chip, 384-bit memory interface, hybrid water/fan cooler, water cooling for overclocking. US$649
* GeForce 8800GT : 6 TCPs chip, 320-bit memory interface, fan cooler. US$449-499

I get wood just reading that =)
