Default what happens at 4?

so theres a pattern in the graph on the homepage that shows the server losing all players at around 4 am. I was just curious as to what this is from? Stats maybe?

I think its because not many people are awake between 5am and 8am. Though, stats do run at 4am.. perhaps it is causing lag. I'll change the stats to run at 6am and we'll see if the graph changes.

Looks like that is the problem. I've suspended stats generation until I can figure out how to run them without it lagging up. Server should be populated 24/7 after today.

look at today's graph. it died at 6am which is the time i changed the stats to run at... so its the stats that kill it. maybe i should re-install and start stats from scratch anyway.. maybe if i just write a program to ftp the stats to a different server and run them there it will fix the issue.

What happens is that when the stats run, is that it writes it to the same server. So not only does the same machine have to generate stats, but it has to write them and compile them to the same machine. Its double lag.

and due to having so many entries, it's quite a workload.
