i say that if anything is to be done with the server one of two things should be done.
1. Pick maybe 3 or 4 maps to be in base rotation, but then bring up a map vote at the end of every round with all the other maps to be voted on. If no map wins the majority then the base map rotation continues

2. When new maps are released it seems people constantly want to play the new maps, therefor the newest 3 or 4 maps will be in rotation, but with no map vote. For example now it would be Militia, Nuke, Port, and Inferno.

but in my opinion unless one of these two options is done, the server should be left alone with militia as the main map and map vote at the end.

lag is not from the map its from the server

24 players in the server do not represent the majority

if they really hated it i doubt they would be playing in it

they stuck it out for a while, and I didnt know we had bots when did this start?
Ohh and it partially does have to do with the map, since its trying to get more detailed info out to the players it slows down, like the fish in the river it would be constantly telling where they are, and where the players are. While with a map like port it would just say where the players are.

yes but details in the map can cause lag if your settings are too high for your computer to handle, but the big lag spikes where everything stops for a split second are not caused by the map. If you will remember it happened just the same on dust and dust2. The bots, when there are bots, are they just to get the server going in slow times of the day. For example the early mornings and such. As soon as players come to the server the bots leave.

Which is exactly my point our server never used to have a slow day, a slow day for me is 15 people on the server. Yes you can turn the detail down, but then whats the point of playing a beautiful map?
