Default Fix Stupid Lag

idk wth is causing the problem but the server gets lag spikes all the time and its really annoying everyone complains about them and there really killing the gameplay idk what the problem is but my guess is the tfc server because b4 that was put up the server ran smoothly

speaking of servers... have you restarted the server machine etc and downloaded any new updates? just want to make sure you have downloaded the VAC2 trackers they placed in beta. thanks

no way.. there are no bandwidth issues here, no cpu usage issues either. the latest valve update supposedly fixes an issue with lag on servers that have been running "for more than a few days". I think its a valve software issue.

Is that what they were? The old spikes have been a persistent mystery until this post Anyways, good to hear it's not the server's problem.

Might the addition of the TFC server be causing these lag spikes? A lot of the players that filled up the server today were complaining about the spikes.

It's possible that with both cs and tfc and then when the stats program runs it could be a little much. And since TFC is always empty, I'm considering just nixing that all together.
