Default nv4_disp.dll ERROR?

lately while playing games on my pc i have had my pc crash and a blue error screen is displayed. This screen cites the file nv4_disp.dll as the problem. I have looked around the internet and found that numerous other people have had this problem before. I was wondering if anyone here has this problem, and if anyone knows what causes it or how to fix it?

Specs:
Athlon 64 X2 4400+
7800GT OC (latest drivers)
1 gig dual channle ram

it has to do with the graphics card, try A)update drivers B)Add approximatley 128mb of ram c)totally redo the hard drive which I dont think you should do unless it really bothers you.

Oh and a dll is a data type package used for rescources meaning it got corrupted some how. hopes this helps.

edit: or just reinstall the card/software.

If you haven't already as homizide said update your video drivers. especially if you have ati. They recently put an updated driver up.

nope, but someone told me to switch back to any 78.XX drivers if you have dual core, because some bug causes that error.
